Kings’ 4th Annual Dog Show was sponsored by Phydeaux and hosted a record number of canine contestants. Big thank you to everyone who came out. $1100 was raised and will go directly to SPCA of Wake County. If you picked up a Phydeaux coupon while you were there you can use it at any of our three locations in Cary, Raleigh, and Chapel Hill. See you again next year!
Contestant one, donning a very flattering Ilkare felt coat:
Contestant two, still in the holiday spirit and one of Phydeaux’s favorite mastiff customers:
Contestant three, much too preoccupied with the contents of the prize bags provided by Phydeaux to grace us with a front-facing photograph:
Contestant four, who’s trying to seal her first place seat with a kiss:
Contestant five spun to their heart’s content and then a little bit more:
Contestant six, such an adorable crowd pleaser:
Contestant seven aka a better soul than most of us can ever dream to be. This one deserves ALL the prizes for donating blood every year. And the dapper top hat. More so for that dang dapper top hat:
Contestant eight who’s phenomenal abilities I can’t quite put into words so check out this rad video to see what she can get into:
Contestant nine patiently waits for the praise they obviously deserve from the crowd:
Contestant ten, whom I’m fairly certain performed all of the tricks in such a quick succession that I could only manage this one semi-clear photo. Some tricks are too good to be seen by the naked eye. This dog gets that:
A huge round of applause to contestant eleven for conquering their stage fright and providing me with this perfect shot. It’s like they knew I was taking a photo of them and were pleading me not to post it on Facebook. Well, joke’s on you, goth dog, because you’re too cute not to share with the world:
Contestant twelve, dressed to the nine lives and ready to strut her stuff:
Contestant thirteen, standing tall for the cheering crowd:
Contestant fourteen who scared about 50% of the crowd when they found out she used to be a drug dog. It’s ok, folks. She only searches when commanded to:
Contestant fifteen is a veteran of the show and excited us all with her physics-defying..wait for it… standing on her hind legs! You get my applause!
Contestant sixteen is the only one who jumped onto the judge’s table but high risk produces high reward, just you wait and see:
Contestant seventeen is a frequent Phydeaux customer who grabbed all the ladies’ attention and one judge’s number with his “sup girl” bark and a high five:
Contestant eighteen held the longest “sit, stay” I may have ever witnessed in person. Mamma was all the way around the corner and this one wouldn’t budge. What would humans be able to accomplish if they had that kind of focus?
Third place goes to: contestant sixteen, Josie!
Second place goes to: the best dressed lady in the house, that’s who! Congrats contestant twelve, Daisy.
And the winner is.. *dramatic drum-roll* Phydeaux’s favorite mastiff miss contestant number two, Misty! Take a bow girlfriend.
Hot crowd, hot crowd! Thank you to all who came out to Kings and wrapped up SPCA of Wake County‘s year in donations. You’ve helped countless animals in the triangle area by drinking and watching dogs do tricks. It’s a win-win.
